This natural Soursop soap will soften your skin. Soursop, a fruit with pulpy flesh, has calming and sedative properties, combating insomnia. You knew about African Shea, and now you're going to discover Amazonian Shea (a very rare tree!). Better known in Guyana as the "butter tree," this gigantic tree, with a cousin, originally from Sudan (used by Guyanature), but found in a good part of Africa, is especially present in Ivory Coast, a "vegetable butter" that is obtained from the fresh almond. Native Americans extract an oil - from a cousin of African shea, a caryocar, offering an almond as rich in butter as its African cousin - by heating the said almond in water. This butter extracted from the Pekea (vernacular name given by Native Americans), melting in the heat of the hand, allows for a multitude of uses. Amazonian gels intended to strengthen the skin's immune barrier, protective gels for the hands, and finally ultra-soft gels for the hair. The Amazonian butter tree is truly one of the treasures this forest shelters. The butter from the almond of the Amazonian butter tree is as precious as the best shea butter from Africa. For now, Guyanature uses shea butter from Africa, botanically named vitellaria paradoxa.
